OK.

Bedroom 1 = 196 ft

^{2}or 21 7/9 yd^{2}Bedroom 2 = 132 ft

^{2}or 14 6/9 yd^{2}Bedroom 3 = 132 ft

^{2}or 14 6/9 yd^{2}Total in yd

^{2}is 49 19/9.Now, the reason I found these in square yards is that that's the way the carpet is sold. And the reason I had fractions there instead of decimals is that I wanted to see quickly how many square-yard pieces of carpet have to be cut to fill those fractional areas. Since 19/9 is greater than two, I have to have three for that part of the job.

This means I have to buy 52 squares of carpet to finish the job. And 8/9 of the last square will be left over. That's if I cut neatly. LOL

I hope you can follow what I did here. If there's any problem send me a message, OK? Cheers!
