Tony had an equal number of c bars and w bars. He gave away 66 c bars. He then had 4 times as many w bars as c bars left. How many bars did he have at first?

How do I figure out?

c = w

After giving away 66 c's:
4(c-66) = w

or, since c = w

4(c-66) = c
4c - 264 = c

3c = 264

c = 88

He had 88 c bars and 88 w bars at the start.

Total 176 bars.
