let x be one of the congruent sides

therefore the third side is x/3

therefore

x + x + x/3 = 35

7x/3 = 35

7x = 3 x 35

x = 3 x 35/7

x = 15 cm for each congruent side

third side = 15/3 = 5 cm.

3x+3x+x=7x=35

x=5

5,15,15

Let x=the length of the third (non-congruent) side.

x + 3x = 35

4x = 35

x = 35/4. the other sides are (35-35/4)/2 = (105/8)
