take the derivative of y=3x

^{1/2}and you will get 3/2x^{-1/2 }or 3/2(x^{1/2}). Plug in the x point which is 8 so you will get3/2(8

^{1/2})This turns out to be 3/(2*2√2)

Which is 3/4√2. So your slope is 3/(4√2).

Now use y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-8.4853=(3/(4√2)(x-8))

You can use algebra to solve this into y=mx+b form with a calculator.

Thanks!
