4m – 3(m + 1) – 4 < 0
Of course, the goal here is to have the variable "m" on one side of the inequality, and a number on the other side.
4m - 3(m+1) - 4 < 0
Add 4 to each side:
4m - 3(m+1) < 4
Distribute the -3:
4m - 3m -3 < 4
m - 3 < 4
m < 4 + 3
m < 7
