1) So if you mean log functions then try an easy log to understand the relationship such as
log_{1o}100 = 2 or log 100= 2
so this means that 10^{2}=100
To your questions (22*59)^{2}= x so log_{22*59} x = 2 x=1684804
2) If you mean that X^{2 }is equal to X*X then...
(22*59)^{2} can split to (22*59)(22*59)
