the slope intercept equation is: y=mx+b, where "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept. The value of "y" should be given to you in the problem. Once you have the "y" value, plug all the values into the slope intercept formula: y=m(3)+1/5 and solve for "m" the slope if needed.
