Patient and full of knowledge

Derek has spent two sessions with my daughter so far. He is patient, understands the material, and is helping her gain confidence in math. She is understanding the concepts, and Derek is helping her to recognize where mistakes are made, how to correct them, and how to apply concepts during tests. He is making Algebra 2 less stressful, and hopefully it will help improve her grades.

I like that he made my son put the calculator away forcing him to rely on his own computation skills. Kaleb seemed very confident in his ability to work through similar algebraic equations in his upcoming assisgments.

EXCELLENT TUTOR

My son Nicholas is really enjoying his sessions with Derek and stated that Derek is actually "teaching" him where others tutors we've tried just "helped" him complete his assignments. Derek provides lesson plans in advance, documents what was accomplished and what still needs to be covered. Both my son and I love Derek energy.
