He was always patient with me when I had many questions and he had no problem repeating his answers and describing the processes over again to complete the **math** problems until I understood how to solve the **math** problems. His high knowledge in **math** was evident when he showed me several different processes and **math** formulas to **help** me achieve the same answer in a much easier way to solve a difficult **math** problem.

My placement in pre-algebra meant I had to take four **math** courses to fulfill the **math** course requirement. I would have needed to take pre-algebra, then elementary algebra, then intermediate algebra, and finally college algebra to fulfill the **math** requirement. Additionally, each **math** class takes a full semester, I would have needed four semesters for **math**, so I would not have been able to complete the transfer requirements by the application deadline.

Most "**math** people" find **math** so instinctual that they tend to zip through an explanation. Kirk asks me what my goals are for the lesson each time. Then he concentrates on that thing only. If I ask him for broader basic concepts, he does that, too. I had an open-notes **math** midterm test last night (basic algebra, equation of the line, functions, graphing, etc.). I got an A. I don't think I have ever had an A on a **math** test in my life, let alone under these circumstances.
