Hello. I'm John.

I have a BS in Math and Science education for grades 5-9. I taught middle school math, science, and technology for 10 years and have tutored over 1,300 hours on Wyzant.

I have been using Microsoft Excel since 1997 and Google Sheets since 2015. I would be the perfect tutor to introduce you to spreadsheet basics like layout, formatting, formulas, combining fields, basic charts and graphs, and pivot tables. I will help you create validation rules and drop down boxes to limit where and how users can add data to your sheets or templates and I can also introduce you to tables, slicers and converting images like screen shots, or screen grabs from a pdf to an excel spreadsheet. The longer we work together, the more you will appreciate and love spreadsheets.

I want to be totally transparent, I don't use statistics or data analytics often enough to be an effective tutor with these features, sorry.

I have used Microsoft word since 1997 and Google Docs since 2010. If you need help with either of these apps I am the tutor for you. I can help you create, format, and proofread everything from book reports to mail merge documents and resumes.

I go out of my way to be available when my students need me. I love meeting and working with students of all ages and abilities. Don't be afraid to say hello. I can help you understand and master the subjects that have frustrated you in the past.
