I am a licensed attorney who realized that I have a love for helping others in their pursuit of gaining knowledge. I graduated from Concord University with a double major in Political Science and Psychology. I then received my J.D. from Regent University. My educational pursuits required strong writing and analytical skills in almost every course.
After law school, I worked for many years as a Law Reference Librarian helping people, from all kinds of backgrounds, understand how to research the complicated subject of law. This made me realize that people need to be taught based upon their unique personalities, and that patience it a necessity when you are teaching. I strive to have this personalized and patient approach with each person I tutor.
I have also been a Paralegal Instructor and taught a wide variety of courses, including research and writing. I have spent countless hours helping students one on one when they are struggling to grasp a concept and find nothing more rewarding than when I see understanding come to them.
Public speaking, writing, analyzing, and reading comprehension have been a part of every aspect of both my educational and professional life. From breaking down a novel, writing legal documents, to speaking in front of a group of people, I have experience to help others in their use of the English language regardless of what there need is.
I have not only taken the LSAT, but I scored well and was able to get into law school. I know what a student can expect to encounter with the LSAT and can help them take the guesswork and fear out preparing.
I hold myself to a high standard professionally. For that reason I never bill for a lesson where the student or parent isn't completely satisfied with my tutoring.
I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 10 hour cancellation policy, I offer makeup classes.
I look forward hearing from you and having the opportunity of helping you meet your educational goals.
