As a recent resident to the St. Louis area, I am originally from Pennsylvania where I received my educational training in teaching. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology/secondary education and PA Instructional teaching certificates in Social Studies and English for grades 7-12. My public school teaching experience includes: American history, civics, and English literature at the middle school level, as well as American/world history, intro to psych, and AP Psych at the high school level. In addition to my public school teaching experience, I also worked as a tutor at a tutoring franchise where I taught students in grades elementary thru college/adulthood in various areas, including reading/writing, statistics, and GED/ACT/SAT/GRE prep. With this same organization, I worked as the part-time Associate Director of Education, where I supervised other tutors and met with parents/families to discuss their students' progress.

Since my initial teacher education program in undergrad, my passion has been to aid as well as instill an interest in learning to my students. Currently, as I pursue my PhD in Clinical Psychology, my long-term goal is to eventually serve in the role as faculty at a college/university in order to continue to share my love for learning. Overall, my teaching/tutoring philosophy is to assist my students in whatever ways possible to further their knowledge and understanding in areas where they may be struggling.

As your tutor, I hope to instill a feeling of mastery and success for your particular class or standardized exam you may be pursuing. Please contact me with further questions or interest.
