The major difference between me and most academic instructors is that I have been able to apply the math or physics to practical applications. I was also licensed as a Professional Engineer in the area of manufacturing for many years. When I tutor these subjects I always try to show the practical application because it stimulates the student(s) to know that there are pragmatic applications to learn formulas, laws of physics and why math is language of engineers, designers, architects and inventors throughout the world.

I have taught a great variety of students coming from multicultural backgrounds. The cognitive abilities of my students varied greatly from the slow learners to the gifted. I try to determine from the beginning where the student needs help and why they are having difficulty with the subject material. Sometimes, I pretest and sometimes I just ask them and most do have a pretty good idea where they got confused or lost. However, in most cases when I`m able to determine the problem I have come up with some pretty ingenious ways of resolving the problem.
