I was always one that excelled in English and have always written as a hobby. Although I am new at tutoring as a profession, I have assisted in editing and mentoring friends at both the high school, technical school and collegiate levels in English and writing for many years. I believe that being well versed and well written is extremely important in achieving success, landing a job or reaching a personal goal as an artist or hobby writer.
Currently I am a published writer for a Wisconsin publication, writing about art, music and culture throughout Northeast Wisconsin. I write poetry as a hobby and also majored in Journalism-Mass Communications at The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, with a minor in Advertising and Marketing. I volunteered with a youth program for 4 years previous to attending college, mentoring kids in an after school program and have experience working with children and adults alike. Over the years I have achieved success in sales and finance and also have assisted in building four different companies from the ground up.
I received awards in leadership and public speaking over the years, have created training manuals and held the title of corporate trainer, I author a food blog and a photography blog and am a published writer for a popular Wisconsin publication, write poetry as a hobby, extremely internet literate and possess exceptional written and social skills. I have been editing and assisting others at the collegiate level in their writing for many years.
I have an exceptional work ethic and 30 years experience in technical writing and writing as a hobby has allotted for many achievements and dreams to come true, which is not far out of the reach of anyone. No show will be charged for 1/2 a session. Any late arrivals will still be charged full rate.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
