Hi! I'm Jessica. I graduated from UW-Stout with the class of May 2020 with a BS in Environmental Science. I majored in Aquatic Biology with a minor in Plant Science. In every facet of education, the attitude of the educator has the power to completely change the quality and value of the classroom experience. It's my belief that positive reinforcement, patience, and persistence are the keys to success for any teacher or tutor. Lesson subjects will be presented in an open and creative fashion, followed by structured course materials. I strive to push students in a positive and encouraging manner, while maintaining focus on comprehension and retention of course materials between each meeting.
The most important message I can send as a tutor is to show the student that I am truly dedicated to their academic success, and want to support their unique needs for learning throughout our time together.
I have multiple years of experience in Biology and English tutoring at a local Senior High school, and was an educator and Aquatic Biologist for Bullfrog Fish Farm in Menomonie Wisconsin as an internship and directly following graduation in May of 2020.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, and am open to any resources, suggestions, and constructive criticisms from family and parents.
