I graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Sociology with a double minor in Women & Gender Studies and Chemistry. Teaching and changing the world are things I love to do and seeing students succeed brings me joy. My time in college allowed me to educate over 1000 students in chemistry and increase my own teaching methods. My favorite tutor sessions are one on one. The time together allows focus and relationship building as increased academic success isn't just in the classroom materials but also in the person's growth.

My skills as a tutor are rooting in believing that a student's confidence and self-growth will attribute academic success just as much as the material covered in a tutoring session. Students often time don't understand why they are struggling with a specific topic or aren't sure of the right questions to ask. Stretching their thinking into problem solving and researching how to overcome these obstacles sometimes are part of the learning process. Seeing this growth brings me joy and confidence to the student and is my favorite part of tutoring sessions.

I have a math and science focused brain which allows for a wide arrange of analytical studies and sharing of knowledge. Math is not everyone's strength and with my past experiences in tutoring middle and high school students I've gained insight to directing each student back the numbers in ways that they can clearly identify and build confidence in their math equations. I bring fun to tough tutor sessions and have found that with repetition and focus, students of mine are able to raise grades and success in their classes.

Throughout my days at Marquette, I was a teaching assistant for the general chemistry undergraduate classes in the labs and discussion sections. I also held review sessions for the tests and tutored one on one with a dozen individual students each semester. I'm able to focus on each student specifically and adjust study skills to meet their individual needs. Chemistry is it's own language and in order to teach the scientific concepts a student must know their strengths and weaknesses to communicate with the material and find success in their studies. As a teaching assistant i had a 86% passing rate for over 1,000 collegiate students.

At the end of the day people are what change the world and I'm excited to change someone's life for the better. I am eager to meet you and hope that my fun and intricate personality excite you and your yearning desire to succeed in school and in life.
