Hi, my name is Ryan K. and I am a math teacher at a high school in Brookfield. This is my twelfth year of teaching math and really enjoy what I do. I have experience teaching Algebra, Algebra 2, Algebra 2 with Trig and Pre-Calculus. In addition, I have taught the Integrated Math Series that is used at Shorewood High School. I really look forward to helping you become a successful math student.
Also, I have a lot of experience preparing students for the math portion of the ACT. At the school I teach at, I organize and run after-school ACT Test Prep sessions for students. Ryan tutored our 14 year old son in Algebra I and raised his grade 2 levels in one semester! Our son told us that Ryan explained things much more clearly than his high school teacher. Along with helping him gain a better understanding of the material, Ryan also taught our son study skills, test prep, and specific test taking techniques. Ryan really helped boost our son's confidence in the subject and it showed in his improved grades! And on top of all of that, Ryan is really nice and fun, and our son truly looked forward to their meetings!
Ryan is very knowledgeable and experienced. He explains concepts well and give a lot of examples that every student is able to understand a material. He tailors tutoring sessions to a student’s needs. We hired Ryan for our daughter who is an 8th grade student. She finds his teaching style very effective and states that he always makes lessons fun and is able to explain even toughest concepts. We will continue working with him.
My daughter really enjoyed Ryan K.'s tutoring. She stated he made learning easy and comfortable for her to prepare taking the ACT. I would recommend his services. He is very professional, easy to communicate with, and is quick to respond to email or text. Thanks Ryan for all your help.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I would be interested in tutoring your child in math. I have been teaching high school math for 12 years and have a lot of experience teaching Algebra. Since your child needs help in Prealgebra, I know the skills they need to know to be successful in Algebra.
