I am a fourth year medical student who will be graduating in May, 2021 and going into residency for anesthesiology. I have several experiences in the past in respect to tutoring/teaching, including serving as a TA for an animal diversity lab during my undergraduate years and as a USMLE step 1 tutor as a 3rd year medical student for 2nd year medical students. What I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to share my love for knowledge with others: tailoring my interactions to their learning style so that they can not only succeed, but excel in the areas they desire.

I have a bachelor of science in genetics, cell biology and development and am currently a 4th year medical student. Therefore, I have significant experience in the realm of science, especially biological science, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. I spent a year as a TA for an animal diversity lab during undergrad, creating my own lesson plans, lectures and quizzes while also helping to write the exams. I also spent the entirety of my 3rd year of medical school serving as a tutor for the USMLE step 1 exam (an eight-hour exam composed of all subject material covered in the first two years of medical school): creating interactive lessons that were primarily focused on using step 1-style questions to enhance my students comfort and familiarity with that question style.

I hope to continue pursuing my passion for tutoring, helping you find the success you are looking for by meeting you where you are at and creating an educational environment that focuses on your learning style!

ACT Science,

ACT Science

I have an extensive background in a variety of subjects pertaining to the ACT Science section; specifically, I have bachelor of science in genetics, cell biology and development and will be receiving my MD in May of 2021. Furthermore, throughout my education I have studied a variety of science subjects, including physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, genetics and immunology. Additionally, I have experience in research with several publications and am therefore familiar with interpreting graphs and data.
Anatomy,

Anatomy

As a medical student in my last year of medical school (about to be a doctor in May, 2021) I have spent a significant amount of time studying anatomy. During our first year we spend approximately eight months studying the entire human anatomy via both lecture and in the lab with cadavers. As my training progressed, my exposure to anatomy occurred when preparing for surgical cases in the operating room and in the various clinics I worked in.

Genetics,

Genetics

I have a BS in genetics, cell biology and development in addition to being a fourth year medical student. As a result, my experience regarding genetics and the associated intricacies of this particular field are rather robust, with a particular emphasis on the medically-focused elements of genetics.
Pharmacology,

Pharmacology

As a 4th year medical student, I have had extensive education and training regarding the principles of pharmacology, as well as learning the intricacies of the uses, adverse effects and contraindications of a plethora of medications. Furthermore, as I will begin my residency training for the field of anesthesiology, my education has been tailored over the past year to more specifically address pharmacology due to the intimate relationship between anesthesiologists and their pharmacological repertoire.
Physiology

Physiology

As a 4th year medical student with a BS in genetics, cell biology and development, I have spent several years studying normal physiology of the body as well as the associated pathophysiology. As a result of my professional training in medical school, I have developed an intimate understanding of human physiology and its associated complexities.
