Susan has an MA in Communication and a BS in Speech. She has a Wisconsin State Teachers License and a background in theatre, communications, education, coaching and working with individuals with special needs.
Susan is a professional speaker and coach. She provides workshops, coaching and motivational speeches for business and community group throughout the Midwest. Some of the companies she has worked with include: Hyatt Regency Hotel, Time Warner, American Institute of Bankers, Giddings and Lewis, Mercury Marine, Harley Davidson, Baker & McKenzie, Milwaukee County and the Credit Management Association.
She currently provides Management Skills Training for law firm Administrators through Loeb Consulting group.
Susan was the Drama Director at Brookfield Central High School where she taught Speech and English. She was also the Director and Manager of the Theater Department at Mt. Mary College where she directed two plays annually, each presented to 4,000 children and adults. Susan taught acting classes at Mt. Mary College and UWM Continuing Education program. She has performed with the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Madison Civic Repertory Theatre and Pellman Theatre and she has directed plays at several Community Theatres.
Susan is well respected in the field of education. She has taught courses in the Communication departments of UWM, Alverno College, MATC and Marquette University. She coaches people on Interviewing Skills and Public Speaking. Susan was contacted by the media on several occasions to appear on television to critique communication situations such as the Bill Clinton interview following the Monica Lewinsky situation.
As the Professional Development Director at Foley & Lardner LLP, for eleven years, she was responsible for designing and facilitating attorney orientations, creating and developing programs for attorneys and clients, managing the Continuing Legal Education of all attorneys and arranging for internal presentations as well as presentations by outside vendors. She wrote scripts for several training videos and provided individual communication coaching for attorneys throughout the firm, including working with foreign attorneys to improve their fluency.
Susan was the Program Design and Curriculum Manager at Goodwill Industries, where she designed curriculum, conducted training and managed programs. She worked with groups who were disadvantaged or who had physical and cognitive disabilities creating curriculum and providing training on life skills, work skills and healthy eating. Many years ago she worked for Artreach teaching acting classes to individuals with mental illness and other disabilities. Susan has an MA in Communication and a BS in Speech. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
