“**Knowledgeable and personable**”

I have in-class and one-on-one teaching experience on college-level Math, Physics and Electrical Engineering courses. While being a graduate student, I taught Math and Physics as a teaching assistant for five years. I also tutored for pre-calculus and pre-algebra during college. I consistently received excellent evaluations from the students and I

Mir provides tutoring to my daughter for AP Calculus and AP Physics. His knowledge of both subjects is excellent, and his personality makes the meetings both pleasant and productive.

Mir provides our Algebra II student with highly professional instruction. His thorough, precise and unwavering explanations make clouded concepts clear. Every minute is used with enthusiastic effectiveness. Mir leaves our student confident in Algebra and parents confident in money well spent. Thank you, Mir!

My daughter recently had an Algebra II and Trigonometry tutoring session from Mir and it was quite productive. She feels much more prepared for her final exam.

Mir came in they immediately got to work. Hearing him talk with her, he had a strong grasp of the subject. His answers and direction were precise and contained zero waffling. I never once heard him say, "Well... let me look at this..." or anything like that. He was always precise with his direction and explanations. He clearly knows this subject very well.

I highly recommend Mr. Mir.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus has been my strongest suit since the beginning of my tutoring career. I was a teaching assistant in advanced college level calculus course (differential equation and linear algebra) and I received excellent feedback from my students. I have some calculus tricks and tips up my sleeve that come handy for test takers.

Being an electrical engineering major, I had an extensive exposure to differential equations both in the coursework and in my research. I was also a teaching assistant for the course 'Differential Equations and Linear Algebra' in the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received excellent review from my students. I completed a graduate-level course that taught advanced techniques to solve differential equations. I am proficient in solving ordinary differential equations both analytically and numerically.

I am an Electrical Engineering major with teaching experience as a graduate TA in various electrical engineering courses (solid state electronics, electronic circuits II). I am proficient with circuit simulation tools like CircuitLab and hardware description language like Verilog. I also have tutoring experience for an electrical circuit I course (DC and AC circuit theory).

I have been using MATLAB for both coursework and research since Sophomore year in college (2004). Apart from the default computational capabilities of MATLAB, I am also familiar with MATLAB's symbolic toolbox and control system toolbox. I won a competition by designing an algorithm for helping students choose the classes that suit their schedule best and my algorithm was developed using MATLAB. I was a teaching assistant of the course Introduction to Solid State Electronics -- where MATLAB was heavily used for device simulation and I was responsible for teaching MATLAB during discussion sections.
