Bio

I am an undergraduate student studying computer engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

During high school, I became interested in computer engineering after my internship with Interactive Degree Planner LLC in UW-Whitewater. I cooperated with students and faculty staff to assist in the back-end development for a degree planner. I coded with C++ to implement the requirements of majors and minors at UW-Whitewater.

I have experience in undergraduate research for computer engineering at both UW-Whitewater and UW-Madison.

In my senior year of high school, I collaborated with a college student and a faculty supervisor at UW-Whitewater to analyze wireless drone communication. Our research team tested wireless communication by configuring drone software and piloting the drone to observe results. The goal of the research was to determine how drones respond to events of natural disasters.

During the summer of 2019, I assisted the Simulation-Based Engineering Lab (SBEL) at UW-Madison. SBEL conducts research on the simulation of autonomous vehicles using advanced concepts from mechanical engineering and computer science. Another computer engineering student and I worked together to design and implement the network for autonomous vehicles tested with computer simulation. Both of us communicated our ideas with the research lab and replaced the TCP/UDP protocol of the current network with an MPI network.

In addition to my internship and undergraduate research, I applied my working knowledge of computer engineering in a final project for my microprocessor class. I coded a game (Tetris) in C on the Tiva™ TM4C123GH6PM (ARM) Microcontroller with a partner. My partner and I managed time and tasks efficiently to create a quality project within our given deadline. For this project, I assisted with coding the software logic in C and I configured the microprocessor hardware. To configure the hardware, I analyzed datasheets, handled hardware/software interrupts and debugged the project with Keil uVision software to test
