I have over 5-years of tutoring experience with thousands of hours logged. I have helped students all over the country i.e. I have more versatility than anyone tutor you will find in the area. I have also written, and published books covering Calculus, Differential Equations, and more. Over the years, I have helped millions of students worldwide with my 2,000+ libraries of video lessons/resources.
A 2-hour weekly session with me will ensure a minimum of a B with little to no studying around homework. I generally go through the homework, and help the student finish it with complete understanding of material. The average student saves 10-20hrs of time per week while working with me. This allows the student to focus more energy on other courses in order to maximize GPA.
My time is limited so I only accept a few students per semester. I only accept students that are willing to commit to 2-hours per week for the full semester. It is preferred that you schedule sessions prior to the semester started in order to guarantee a slot. Students/ Parents;

Jon already has helped me so much. I'm a student at UW-Madison taking Calc 1 and I learned more in one night that I could have even imagined. I can't recommend enough! Very down to earth, personable, and truly enjoys teaching!
He is able to understand your issues and figure out a plan that suits your needs the best. Would recommend.
We needed intensive help to makeup for my son being behind because of an illness. Jonathan was available for whatever we needed, a good teacher and my son isn't quite so behind now headed back to college! Took some stress off.
Teaches/tutors Calc III in an easy to understand format. Always prepared even for the most difficult problems. Helps you prepare for tests. Very knowledgeable tutor for higher level Math.
We are able to work through all of my questions and he shows me easier and faster ways of doing problems.
Great with calculus. Helped ease understand some important trigonometric ideas. Smart and funny dude also. Very knowledgeable of the subject and therefore capable of reciprocating that knowledge to you.
His life is math- maybe a slight exaggeration but what a great tutor! Patient and extremely knowledgeable. He knows how to address problems in several ways and tailors approaches with the student.
I am a student at UT Austin and used JJ while taking a Calc II class over the summer. I finished the class with a nearly perfect score because of the help I got in the tutoring sessions. Great tutor, very knowledgeable and helpful.
Makes every concept of calculus simple to understand and is really patient and made sure I had a firm grasp of the section we went over.
Jonathan was super helpful. I started working with him right after my midterm, when I realized that I was going to have to put in some extra time if I wanted to pass business calculus. By the time my final rolled around I was shooting for an A, not just to pass the class. He is patient and approachable. He also made time to work with my busy schedule, which was also a huge benefit. If I ever need help with calculus again, I know who to ask.
This guy knows his stuff! I was able to understand the material after he explained it. I most definitely need his help to make it through this Calculus class!
JJ is a great tutor! I took Calculus at UT Dallas and was completely lost. After working with JJ I was able to get on track and understand the material with ease. I highly recommend hiring JJ, especially if you are attending UTD.
Jonathan knows his material. He is one of those extraordinary people who will make sure you understand the material on your terms. He is kind, patient, and caring about your progress and comprehension on whichever subject you are working on. I have spent hours on homework before Jonathan helped me, once I was taught by him he showed me practical time tested methods that found solutions very expediently. Jonathan's expertise is vast and his understanding in collegiate physics helped me get through thousands of problems. If your in calculus he is surely to give you a superior understanding over your classmates. I would recommend him to anyone willing to better themselves and are looking for the meaning behind the numbers. You Truly cannot go wrong with Jonathan he is superb! Best of Luck to all and May Jonathan guide you on your journeys.
Jonathan is GREAT! I was lost in calculus and after he clarified things for me - I managed to increase my knowledge & understanding of mathematics and am able to finish my class with ease. I highly recommend Jonathan as a tutor for anyone in math.
As a math/physics major, J.J. knows his way around an equation. He's better at explaining things than most of the teachers I've had at the junior college level. He's patient and easy to contact.
Jonathan is a patient and enthusiastic tutor. By the second session I was completing problems on my own that I had struggled with greatly. He is flexible with meeting times and quick to answer any additional questions I had by email.
I have met with Johnathan a few times and he has been able to show me how to study for calculus. I have been able to study more effectively with the ideas he has given me.
My son tutored with Jonathan for physics and said that he was very smart and helped him to understand that day's lesson. We are going to use him again!
Jonathan is a great tutor and a great guy. Very patient and very knowledgeable. Very helpful when you can't figure out a problem and will help to solve it. I would recommend Jonathan to teach anyone if they need help with mathematics.
Jonathan was really engaging and understanding. He made algebra review not just bearable but understandable! He gave me some great online resources for practice too.
I recommend that for anyone to work with Jonathan T. because he is tutoring the Math as the water, so he always use the easy way to understand and get the purpose, moreover he is very patient and great tutor. if anyone is not comfortable or confident with MATH, they need to work with Jonathan T.
Jonathan was very patient, thorough, and made the problems to where I could understand it. He showed me step for step on how to work certain problems, and that's exactly what I needed! I am excited to be working with Jonathan, and plan to keep working with him for other classes in the future! Thanks again Jonathan!
Jonathan was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to help me get through some difficult problems and I am excited about working with him as I continue with my studies in Calculus II.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Pre-algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II are probably the most important math classes one will take. It is essential that one understands at least 90% of the material in these subjects before moving on to Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus... One can get a good grasp of these classes with less understanding; one cannot, however, begin to approach these classes without the proper foundation.
I have been helping students improve their test scores on average 30% for over two years now. I have an ability to reiterated what most people perceive as complicated in a simple fashion which allows one to absorb the concept properly.
These three subjects, if going into a science degree, are more important that anything else; it is essential that one has a superb understanding of them.
I have multiple years of experience working through hundreds of different levels and variations of Calculus courses at the college level ranging from basic business calculus courses to advanced engineering. I have written and published a few preparatory books, guides and crash courses on calculus and have produced thousands of educational videos via YouTube.
Calculus is the alphabet of science and algebra is the grammar. A Student must learn to write stories in order to succeed. In a Calculus and any other upper division course, the answer to a problem is not important, it is the solution and the solution must be written with the utmost precision. I can help prevent serious point-loss on exams due to incorrect mathematical grammar and show what material to focus on in order to gain maximum potential for higher grades. To date: I have solved approximately 50,000 calculus problems.
Differential equations is not a difficult class, in fact if one knows how to do Calculus proficiently and understands how to "plug-and-chug" a formula DE is a breeze. I took this class over a 4 week summer course while working full time and passed it with flying colors.
As a tutor this course is the most simple to reiterate to students. I currently am working with a company on applying a transform of a first order Differential Equation with other functions involving the PID method an inputting the Laplace Transformation in order to complete a looping energy flow as a mathematical description as a second order Differential Equation.
If you are concerned about this class, you should not be. As long as your Calculus is good this class will be a breeze. I can show you how easy it is.
I have over two years of Linear Algebra experience ranging from business applications, engineering applications, and physics applications, and have created youtube videos geared towards tutoring the subject.
I have helped many students at the University of Dallas take their grades in Linear Algebra from D's, F's and worse to either a passing grade or A's. Linear Algebra is a relatively new subject so many professors just do not have the curriculum down. I have taken many Linear Algebra courses, from simple to advanced, and I have learned what is important to point out to beginners so that they do not get lost in the subject and can keep up with the course as it progresses.
Trigonometry next to Algebra, is the next most important subject as a up and coming scientist. If one is going into science related mathematics, it is crucial that they fully understand trigonometry. If one can comprehend the theories in Trig it will make the latter classes, i.e. physics, calculus… so much easier to understand and approach. I have hundreds of hours of working with trigonometric functions and concepts. If this is a subject you seem to be struggling with, I will simplify it for you.
