In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have numerous years of experience using many different drawing mediums such as ink and pastel. As a teacher, I believe in teaching drawing basics to my classes, like perspective and line quality, are very important.
I have an Associates degree in commercial art from Madison Area Technical College.
Some of the computer programs that I use are Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
I also have worked with businesses designing posters, t-shirts, logos, and illustrations. Finally, I incorporated graphic design projects into my art and journalism classes like word art, health posters, comic strips and magazine covers.
