As a father of four and a National D License soccer coach I enjoy working with and educating kids of all ages. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Finance and then went on to pursue a graduate degree in Economics when I was injured working construction during the summer break. While doing rehab and learning to walk again I taught myself how to play poker and became a professional cash game player. Since college and my subsequent injury, in addition to poker I've been a partner in a private equity firm, set up and ran a property management and real estate firm and consulted on business formation and startup for a myriad of other businesses.

With Covid shutting down live poker in most locations and the oldest two going off to college, I've found myself with time on my hands. With the dire need of substitutes, I obtained my License and began helping out in the local communities as well as coaching additional soccer teams for the local club. I'm currently coaching U8, U14, and U19.

Substituting in the local districts I've seen firsthand some of the gaps in education distance learning has facilitated and have been approached several times about tutoring. I've always loved building and educating; coaching and tutoring is something I have been doing for over two decades in one form or another and brings me a lot of joy.

Business

Business,

Business

I've worked as an equity analyst since 1996 and business owner in several industries, including finance, property management and consulting on business formation and structure.
Public Speaking,

Public Speaking

I spend a significant portion of my time presenting or talking in front of other people. While I no longer make equity position presentations to committees, from time spent teaching, time as an actor in school and college and time as a coach I have some secrets of the hand to help make things in front of others easier. Our first lesson would go over how everything starts with preparation and what preparations work.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taken advanced math through graduate level in Economics, I have taught our own children math through high school, and most recently educated our youngest through kindergarten and first grade math during Covid as well as substituting for our communities various math instructors. I feel confident in the rigors and subtleties of elementary mathematics.
Homeschool,

Homeschool

Our three oldest all went to public schools. two are in college now and the other is in High school. After a entire virtual kindergarten for our youngest we started researching it and decided with our lives at this time it is a very good fit for us and this child. I am by no means an expert on homeschooling, More of a resource on what we've done and what works for us.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

One of our children is on the spectrum. It has been an incredible challenge and learning experience for all of us. From the first days of realizing something was different to finally figuring out what was going on and getting the resources to help everyone develop. They are now a straight A student in High School and are on track to graduate a semester early with plans for college next year!

Sports/Recreation

Poker,

Poker

I've played professionally since 2006. Exclusively cash games (I don't like being forced to get lucky in tournaments) at casinos in the Midwest, Florida, Arizona and Nevada. Note: My rates for poker will vary substantially on what is being requested and taught and the number of people being educated to make my professional life more difficult :)
Soccer

Soccer

I love coaching! 4v4-U6 through 11v11-U19. Each age has its own challenges and rewards. The teams I coach each season vary depending on my schedule and the needs of the club.
