I'm Anna and I'm graduating high school this year! I will be attending UW-Eau Claire in the fall to study Spanish and Latin-American Studies. I have experience with tutoring Spanish levels 1-5 and working with people who have no prior Spanish. I have spent time in Argentina and have worked with Spanish only kids (at the elementary school level). I'm fluent in Spanish and love to help others discover the language! I'm willing to work with students in elementary school through junior year in high school with any level. Whether it's raising a class grade or just beginning, I'd love to help!
I have worked with young kids through MSCR and have experience with planning fun learning activities. Along with MSCR, I have worked with kids who only speak Spanish. That experience made me learn how to teach in both languages and heavily increased my level of fluency. I have also tutored high school students in all levels of Spanish and have helped raise their average grade in the class one or two letter grades. I have also recently gone through the entire high school Spanish levels and understand how they are taught and can easily match my lessons to what the student is learning in class. I personally have also received Spanish tutoring (to advance a grade level) and was able to experience different methods of teaching and explanations which aids me in my own style of tutoring. I spent time at immersion camps and time in Argentina, both which have exposed me to Hispanic culture and increased my fluency and passion for the language exponentially.
I would love to work with you and your student to either increase a class grade or begin their journey with Spanish. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any request. Thank you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
