Calculus,

Calculus

I have been teaching the Calculus sequence (Calc 1 - Calc 3) for many years. I use proven techniques to help students understand underlying concepts through carefully chosen examples and thorough step-by-step explanations. Here is a brief description of the topics I cover in each of the Calc classes: Calc I: Limits and continuity, derivatives and their applications, integrals and their applications Calc II: Techniques of Integration, Arc Length and Surface Area, Parametric Equations, Polar Coordinates, Series, and Differential Equations Calc III: Vector and Geometry of 3-D Space, Vector Functions, Partial Derivatives, Multiple Integrals, Vector Calculus
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Prealgebra, Precalculus, SAT Math

Differential Equations

I have been teaching the Differential Equations for many years. I use proven techniques to help students understand underlying concepts through carefully chosen examples and thorough step-by-step explanations. Here is a brief description of the topics I cover in the Differential Equation class: Modeling with Differential Equations, Direction Fields, First Order DE (Separable, Linear, Exact, Homogeneous, Bernoulli), Modeling with First order Differential Equations, Second Order DE, Reduction of Order, Undetermined Coefficients, Variation of Parameters, Laplace Transform.
Finite Math,

Finite Math

I taught Finite Math several times at the university of Wisconsin-Fox Valley. I have a PhD in mathematics and I know the content of finite math in full details. When I taught it I covered topics such as: review of algebra, compound interest, Annuities, matrices and systems of linear equations, principles of counting, and intro to probability. I feel very confident about teaching finite math and I can share the syllabi I used when I taught it.
