I am a sophomore in college, currently at Fox Valley Technical College and transferring to University of Wisconsin Green Bay in January. I am a former soccer player and enjoy coaching now as it is another way for me to work with kids and help them find their love for the game like I found mine. I constantly watch soccer games from various levels including high school, state league, national league and the international level. I am hoping to get into college soccer as well. If I had to choose between watching my favorite show and soccer, I would choose soccer.

I recently went to my first professional soccer game, the United States Women's National Team vs South Africa, in Chicago in July. It was an experience I will never forget and I can't wait to go to more USWNT games and eventually want to go to some Chicago Red Stars game. I am constantly learning more about the game and still talk to my former coaches, one of whom I assisted, and continue to learn from them. I believe that you can never stop learning as the game keeps evolving.

I have experience with summer school at Greenville Elementary school. During my time helping there, I helped with 3rd/4th grade math. I really loved working one on one with the children when they needed individual help, and together in a group. My favorite part was helping a student who was struggling and then when they figured it out, seeing the light bulb go off and seeing how excited they were that they finally understood. I also have experience tutoring during high school with National Honors Society.

While tutoring with National Honors Society, I tutored with math and social studies. We started 30 minutes late every Tuesday so the teachers could have a meeting, and that is when we tutored. The tutoring sessions started my senior year of high school, and everyone had to do it about 5 times a semester. I mainly helped freshmen along with some sophomores and mainly helped in math.

Math has always been really easy for me and this is the subject that I helped out with in summer school. I also help out my brothers all of the time with their math homework and have been since they were in 3rd grade. I have always been able to pick up math really easy in my own learning. For me, I have had to hear the lesson talked through while doing an example. Although, I have had a teacher that you basically had to learn on your own and I was able to succeed in that as well.

I have always loved kids and helped out with my younger brothers, who are 8 years younger than me, and with my baby cousin once she was born. My mom babysat her when she was first born and because of that I became really close with her and I don't have the words to describe how I feel about her. When I started working at Chuck E Cheese is when I really found that love. I mainly did birthday parties while being there and I still remember and think about some of the birthday kids I had and how I was able to make their day special. I loved being able to make a child's day and see their face light up. After then is when I decided to start to help coach my soccer team's youth program, and help my soccer coaches' wife in summer school. During summer school is when I really got to see just how rewarding it is working with children and helping them figure out whatever they are having difficulty with.
