I am passionate about chemistry especially about sharing my knowledge and making a subject that can be abstract and incomprehensible to be made easy and comprehensible through relating it real world analogies. Problem solving is a big part of learning chemistry but problem solving can also be on a larger sense part of life itself. I take a lot of pleasure in showing my students how to problem solve, and set up the steps to getting to the solution using the facts that they know and the facts mentioned in the problem and then figure out the best method to put it all together to reach the solution. This also requires them to be analytical and to be able to read and comprehend the problem itself. Many times most students have a hard time comprehending what the question is asking of them and once they have mastered this skill, they have mastered the essence of chemistry.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. At the present time I work as a Chemist in a lab and also part-time as an adjunct instructor in chemistry. I have also taught AP Chemistry in the past. I enjoy teaching chemistry especially showing my students the different ways to problem solve. That I believe is the key to mastering chemistry.
