University of Washington (Mathematics)
Hello, my name is Mary Eleanor. I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington and would love to tutor you in my home in Algebra or Basic Math. I have a love for Math and want to work with you especially if you have struggled with math. I love to see the "light bulb go on" when a concept is understood. I tutored Math and Algebra while we lived in Virginia for 3 years. While living in Yakima, I have worked at Yakima Valley Community College as both the Instructor at the Adult Basic Education Math Center and as an Instructor for Math 50 and Math 70 which are Pre-algebra classes.
I am available to tutor in my home during the day and after school until dinner time. We live in the West Valley. I am pleased to work with both children or adults. Please call me to see if we can work together. Hello, my name is Mary Eleanor. Mary was very professional but very warm and easy to talk to. My grandson liked his time but it will take a little time to get caught up. She was easy to understand. I defiantly will refer her to anybody that needs math help.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
