Hi, I am an American Sign Language Interpreter and would love to help you learn to sign! Maybe you are starting from scratch, want to keep up your skills over the summer, or just want to get ahead in ASL class. I am here to help you do just that!
I can meet you in a public place like a coffee shop or a library, or we can "meet" online. I can teach you with my own lesson plan, one we make up together, or follow one you already have. It can be structured or more of a question/answer type of session.
I graduated from an American Sign Language Interpreter Training Program in 2013 and have been working for two years as an interpreter. I have worked in educational, community, medical, theater, group work and many other settings.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. If you have any doubts on how this will work just speak with me and I'll happily explain!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
In 2013, I graduated from San Antonio College Interpreter Training Program in American Sign Language Interpreting, A.A.S.
I have taken and passed the written National Interpreter Certification exam.
I have been working as a Freelance Interpreter for the last two years, and continue to do so in the Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR area.
