I have had the privilege and thrill of helping many students and coworkers gain skills and confidence both in the work environment and in school and beyond. Working in a multi-linguistic environment for most of my life, I have gained skills, training and education that have been great assets in my role as a teacher and tutor. My greatest joy is seeing my students grasp the meaning and mechanics of a new language, and be able to articulate their ideas with their newly acquired vocabulary. Many of those I have tutored have gone on to use the languages or skills they have gained to much effect. A good many of them also lead fulfilling lives as translators, linguists, interpreters and travelers who have a second language to their credit.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have worked as an instructor, tutor, translator, interpreter and linguist since 1990 and have acquired four languages during that period. During the last four years of my career I have been working as an interpreter in Panama, Colombia and Curação.
