About Christian

Bio

I am recent graduate of PLU having a BS in Chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry. Studying chemistry at PLU has provided me with a strong foundation not only in chemical subjects, but also in biology, algebra, calculus, and physics. I have served as a teaching assistant in numerous lab sciences, and therefor have experience in helping others learn in the ways that best suit them.

I am much more interested in helping people learn smarter than I am in brute, mechanical face to book pounding. Pick me as a tutor if you want someone with excellent interpersonal skills, an affirmative personality, and desire to see you or your student learn and succeed.

I know math because I'm a chemist and chemist's lean heavily on our mathematician friends. The good thing about this is that we make math as simple as we can, so we can get on to the chemistry we want to do. I have taken college level classes in and have a firm foundation in Algebra 1 & 2, Calculus 1 & 2, linear algebra, and trigonometry.

Here's the deal. in a lot of ways math is just a set of tools. Tools are only useful if you know how to use them and in what situations they are helpful. In math, especially in algebra and calculus, if you can learn your tools, and learn to recognize your problems, you're set. That's what I like to help people figure out. What are our tools and when do we use them?

I am a science guy. I love science. I think its really cool and extremely helpful in understanding the world around us. I also realize that there are those of in the world who don't really love science, who don't think its super cool, or in anyway applicable to our everyday life.
Maybe you are in the second camp, but you have to learn some science anyways. Maybe you're in the first camp but for whatever reason something just isn't quite making sense. I'm here, and excited to be here for all people in any of the camps.
I studied chemistry in college with an emphasis in biochemistry. I have a solid knowledge from taking classes in general, organic, analytical, physical, and bio chemistry, as well as biology, and physics. I did very well in my classes, and I want to help you do the same. Sometimes we just need to think differently, sometimes, we've misunderstood a key concept, and sometimes we just need to know what the heck the terminology means. I want to help you figure out what you need, and help you succeed accordingly.

If you or your student is having a hard time in a math or science subject, or just want to do even better, lets work on it! There are many ways to improve, we just have to find what works best for you.

Let em know if you have any questions, I would love to get back to you! Thanks!
