I am well-traveled internationally, confident and respectful of living and working in diverse cultures and languages with extensive living experience in Bolivia, Mexico and Chile, advanced aptitude in linguistic acquisition with Degrees in Spanish, Russian, and ESL, lived abroad and in multiple areas of the USA. I demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in years of contracting in independent and contracted work with an expert knowledge of theory and practice.
In the classroom I've worked with a multitude of textbooks and school curriculum and have adapted content-specific texts with lesson plans for teachers with ESL students. I am experienced in teaching novice to advanced learners and children as well as adults in ESL and EFL in all aspects of language use.
I design language specific objectives to guide students through new vocabulary while reflecting on their own passions enabling them to align intrinsic motivations to proven learning strategies. Example language objectives may include any theme that interests the student such as workplace jargon, hobbies, athletics, or academic subject terminology. Example lesson plans incorporate production skills of writing and speaking and listening to ease grammar acquisition through rote memorization.
The cornerstones to my coaching style are the fundamentals of athletics including endurance, balance and technique as well as social-emotional fundamentals such growth mindset, teamwork, and joy. My hope is that players that work with me discover in training the knowledge, skills, and
goal-setting abilities to help them to successfully continue in the sport at the highest level as well as to create pathways by which they can be healthy contributing members of the community beyond the training grounds and give back to the game in some way themselves

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
After obtaining a TEFL certificate in 2000 my first experience teaching ESL full time was in Mexico. There I was the lead teacher for 4th and 5th grade students and tutored college-level students as well. After completing my M.Ed. I studied ESL at the postgraduate level and was certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Along with a Masters in Education, I am an D-license USSF candidate coach and Level 2 NSCAA Goalkeeper. Coach and I am the State Director of Just4Keepers, an international goalkeeping coaching and merchandise company from Liverpool, UK. I have coached at multiple levels throughout my career as well as have played at the professional level in Chile and Bolivia.
