I have been tutoring students ranging in ages from 9 to 18 in mathematics for 12 years. I run tutoring sessions in my home. Students can receive assistance with organization, homework and test taking skills in all subjects. My hours are after school hours from 3:30 until 6:30.
Most students, with my assistance can increase their grades by 1 grade point if they are motivated to do so. I do have references from former students' parents that are available. My most lengthy tutoring position was with the same family for 9 years. Their 2 students maintained a B+/A1 average in Algebra and Geometry during their high school career.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Tutoring Mathematics has been my second job for over 10 years. I have successfully assisted over 12 different students to either raise their current grade or improve their overall grades in math and science.
I also teach Algebra and Geometry during summer school each year and take pride in all my students have been able to pass the class each summer and retrieve credits that they failed to earn during the regular school year.
I taught Geometry during 2 of the last 3 summers at the University Place Achievement Academy. Students I have tutored in the subject come back and tell me that, "without your help, I would not have been able to graduate with my Geometry credit."
