Central Washington University, Western Governors University (Elementary Education)
Hello Parents and Students!
I am currently going to school to become a K-8 teacher. I attend Central Washington University (Pierce satellite campus) and am thriving in the Professional Education Program and Literacy & Linguistics minor program. I particularly love Mathematics and English. I have volunteered hundreds of hours (with 6-12th graders) at the Puyallup Youth Investment Center (program through YMCA) while in community college, but took a break from that when I started at a university. I was a homework helper there and leader with many other exceptional volunteers. I would love to work with any struggling pupil to further his/her skills and teach him/her into success while gaining my own perspective on how to serve my students in the classroom better. I am currently being taught how to comprehend and teach Common Core State Standard curriculum so I am flexible on how to approach each individual's needs.

She is an excellent tutor! She came to the appointment well prepared with lesson plans and ready to work. She is very knowledgeable and patient with my daughter.
Our son received tutoring from Sheena over the summer, he was having issues with reading comprehension and writing on the SAT's. She was a great help for him, we have also noticed a improvement in his grades this year. All A's!! Thanks Sheena.
I am an Elementary Education major. I have my A.A. and am well qualified to tutor K-6 students because of my educational background and because I tutor 6th grade through 12th grade at the local Youth Center in my hometown.
I have lead several students to success in their English studies. I have had 2 Reading/Writing SAT students greatly improve on their English skills as well as being currently trained in the Professional Education Program in Literacy Skills and Assessment at Central Washington University's satellite campus at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom.
