My professional and volunteer work history includes over ten years experience in the following: teaching as a substitute instructor in adult basic education classes at community college, computer and career development instruction one-to-one assistance/group instruction) with adults with disabilities; instruction of beginning ESL class within the community; on-site mentoring, coaching, and training with early childhood teachers.
Prior to my work as an adult educator, I have also worked as a day camp director for 4 consecutive summers, coordinator of an after school tutoring program, preschool teacher, and activity coordinator for child and family activities and respite child care for a social service agency. My current full time work is in the early childhood field as a mentor/coach/trainer of early childhood providers and teachers.
I have a Master's degree in Adult Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science (Psych, Sociology, Counseling).

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have three years of experience working as a vocational rehabilitation instructor (2007-2010) working with individuals who are re-training to re-enter the workforce. While working in that position, I worked closely with students and job developers to match skill development to job goals; I used job analysis' and information to design curriculum; In my positions as supervisor from 2010-12, I often advised my employees on their career tracks in the early childhood field.
