Bio

Hello,

My name is Daniel. I grew up in Spokane Washington and attended Lewis and Clark H.S. After graduating in 2011, I moved to Patagonia South America for a few months, then joined AmeriCorps NCCC in 2012. I volunteered with a variety of non-profits in the Southeastern United States and worked with the Red Cross when Hurricane Sandy struck the east coast.

Since then I've attended college, first in Davis California, where I established residency, then at UC Berkeley.

I focused in the the area of Logic while studying at Berkeley. My courses centered mostly in foundations of mathematics (especially logic) and the philosophy of language. I am interested in set theory, proof theory and the concept of 'mathematical thought'. I graduated in May 2017 and currently work as a student researcher at WSU Riverpoint in the speech and language lab. My work here is motivated by effort to develop a computational analysis of natural language. This is a part time position, and I would like to work as a tutor to supplement my income.

My work in the lab is very flexible so I am free to tutor according to the most convenient time.

Logic

I am pursuing a PhD in Logic and consider it to be my most developed area of study. I am competent in first-order and higher order logic. I have also studied classical and non classical systems of logic as well as the history of logic. I love logic!
