Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADD/ADHD

I am a currently WA certified teacher with 30 years of experience. Over 20 of those years were spent working in the elementary classroom with at-risk students, many facing the challenges of ADD and ADHD. I have also taken some special ed. classes, behavioral training, as well as having some experience with brain gym. I have used these techniques with both my students in the classroom and those I have tutored.

Dyslexia

I am a currently WA certified teacher with 30 years of experience. Over 20 of those years were spent working in the elementary classroom with at-risk students, many facing the challenges of learning disabilities.
