Hi, I'm Andrew! I am a passionate teacher with over a decade of math/science teaching and tutoring experience, covering everything from middle school pre-algebra, to high school chemistry, to university level physics. I love interacting with students of all levels and backgrounds, and sharing with them my excitement for math, science and engineering. In 2016 I graduated from Lehigh University with two Bachelors of Science degrees! One in Physics and the other in Electrical Engineering, since I couldn't decide which was my favorite. I continued on to Princeton University, where I received my Master of Arts in Electrical Engineering in 2018 and have completed 5 years of research towards my PhD. I study materials for batteries, LEDs and solar cells.

I have always enjoyed teaching, starting over a decade ago while I was still in high school. In undergrad I continued to develop my teaching skills, working part time as a tutor while I completed my studies. In graduate school, I had the pleasure of teaching many math and engineering classes, including designing laboratory lessons for physics classes. I joined Princeton's McGraw Teaching and Learning Center, where I trained other graduate students on how to teach courses. In my tenure at Princeton, I have won 3 teaching awards and worked with hundreds of students.

My goal in teaching is to develop the student's ability to think critically and problem solve, skills which transcend math and science. I try to incorporate my experiences as a researcher and engineer to connect abstract ideas to tangible, familiar examples. Additionally, I know that learning is a personal experience, and each student does so in their own way. I always seek to work with the student in developing study and learning habits that are sustainable and deepen understanding.

I tutor all levels of mathematics, physics, chemistry and science in general. I look forward to meeting and working with you, feel free to contact me, I am quick to respond!

I have over a decade of hands on

Andrew is the G.O.A.T!!!!

I can't say enough good things about Andrew's approach to tutoring. HE KNOWS HIS STUFF!!! I came to this session feeling somewhat overwhelmed (under a deadline to turn in this homework assignment) and a bit frustrated about not being able to gain the necessary insight into solving motion problems in two dimensions. Andrew did a superb job of clearing up my confusion. I really appreciate the advice he provided on how to break up a big problem into smaller parts. Two dimension motion problems often contain two unknown variables so generating equations in a systematic fashion helps to determine how these variables are related. I hope to use the insights Andrew shared during this session when encountering future, complex problems. An excellent tutoring session and worth every penny spent. Thanks again Andrew. You're the best!!! Ron P.

Knowledgeable and flexible

Andrew tailored the lesson to my learning style -- I'm a visual learner. I was able to absorb the material better and understand key concepts through his teaching. I also appreciated his flexibility in adapting to my schedule and any changes that would arise.
