Hello! My name is Anna and I can't wait to help you learn and become better practiced in your use of the English language and your knowledge in biology and ecology! I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Ecology and Evolution and when I am not teaching, I work for the National Marine Fisheries Service collecting data for fisheries management in Alaska. I have been tutoring since I was in high school when I began working for Kumon where I helped younger students with their math and reading skills. Since then, I have helped adults and children alike with an assortment of subjects and assignments ranging from essay writing to studying for biology exams to explaining how the ecology of an entire region in Florida affects the rest of the mainland United States. During my time in college, I spent the entirety of my junior year working as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the General Biology labs and lectures. And after I graduated, I spent an entire summer working in the Florida keys as a field instructor teaching citizen science to boy scout troops. Every summer starting from the year 2012 to 2017, I also worked as a merit badge counselor at a summer camp where I taught outdoor skills such as camping, hiking, rowing, sailing, swimming, birds and mammals, reptiles, outdoor botany, insects, and conservation ecology. And lastly, this past fall, I worked as an outdoor educator in northwestern Washington where I taught forest ecology, tide ecology, archery, introduction to science writing, and team building.

Mainly because I too struggled when I was in school and I would like to provide a resource to which I did not have access to make the learning process more manageable for others. So let's do this!
