I am a Physics and Math double major attending Seattle University. I decided to become a tutor after a year of volunteer work at my university tutoring the freshman calculus series as well as the intro physics series.

Since then, I have done freelance tutoring, and I have gained experience tutoring pre-algebra all the way through to multivariable calculus both at Seattle University and Seattle central. My favorite subject has to be multivariable calculus just because it is when real world math applications (at least for me) really starts to get interesting (look up "modeling bumpy spheres" if you are interested).

I really enjoy teaching mostly because I enjoy coming up with learning methods such as rhymes or acronyms; that while they can be cheesy actually work very well. I also find that once a student achieves a proficient level in the math subject being taught there is a noticeable shift in confidence, and seeing that happen is awesome.

I come very prepared with multiple copys of printouts and cheat sheet style notes that I have found help students pick up concepts much faster. These also aid the student when they are working on the subject by themselves. I always bring the same printouts from previous sessions as well, just in case the student lost it or left it at home.

I always try to respond as fast as possible. I can tutor on skype or in person. I look forward to meeting you and getting that A!
