Seattle Pacific University -- Bachelor of Science (Physics)
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! I have been very lucky in my path in physics to have wonderful experiences and opportunities. I worked at the Seattle Central Community College Physics Lab for almost 4 years, working closely alongside professors to help students in both mathematics and physics get the best learning experience possible. During this time, I aided in school projects, tutoring of both physics and mathematics, helping build laboratory equipment as well as setting up experiments.
My time working at Seattle Central for 3-4 years was monumental in my experience as a tutor. I have helped many students in the area of mathematics and physics, as well as some chemistry and other engineering related fields. I absolutely love the feeling of sharing my enthusiasm for science and helping students not only learn the proper methods for understanding the material, but also to help them grow an appreciation for these subjects. I am very laid back, relaxed and patient, but also understand that challenging students to solve problems themselves is a vital part of tutoring.
I am also fortunate enough to add that I have had experience as an intern at the University of Washington RADCOS program. Radcos is a group of research undergraduates and graduate students who program who examine data related to Gamma ray bursts to answer big questions about Dark Matter and the expansion of our universe. My ultimate goal in physics will be to enter the field of High Energy Physics - or Particle Physics - as a theoretical scientist. In the meantime, I love to tutor and help people along the way.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I completed all Calculus series I, II and III.
