Ateneo de Manila University (BA Communication Art)
I have been teaching ESL abroad for more than 10 years. I recently moved to the United States and got my CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) certification.
I earned the top grade of Pass A, which is a grade that less than 4% of Celta candidates receive here in the US. In university, I graduated with honors with a BA in Communication Arts, so I know how to accurately and effectively convey language, whether is visual or oral.
I love teaching simply because I love to help people. It gives me great joy to see you improve, to know I have helped you understand something, to know that I can be part your success.
I grew up in the US, Japan, and the Philippines, and I can speak English, Japanese, and Tagalog. Like you, I know the challenges of learning a second language, making me sensitive to your needs. You will always receive a high quality, customized lesson from me. I will guide you into passing the TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS. If you want to study general or business English, improve your speaking, writing, or listening skills, please contact me. I have been teaching ESL abroad for more than 10 years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
