I have enjoyed programming ever since I started my first ever programming course. Previously I used to work for a inventory management company (Boeing, Verizon, Ingersoll Rand as their clients) as a Java Developer and Currently I am employed full time with a company in Alpharetta as a Sr. Engineer. I love tutoring because it provides me a means to share the knowledge I have.

I completed my Electrical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University here in Georgia. I graduated with Magna Cum Laude. My main focus was on communications and Electric Power System. I have done some extensive research on Solar Panel and the Forced redundant states of Transistor. I have been a participant of EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) design competition which involved Renewable energy source. I love programming as it is my passion. And the knowledge of the how computer hardware work is a plus. I have knowledge of technologies and frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, Google web toolkit, java core, java EE) and Front end tech(HTML, CSS, Angular JS, Bootstrap, Jquery).

I aim as a tutor is to make people understand the underlying concepts rather the petty details about the computer language itself. I am a believer of the fact the people can do anything if they understand the concepts rather than just memorizing the superficial details. If one understands one of the many computer languages he/she can pick up others on their own. After all computer programming is similar to mathematics. It has predefined formulas that you can apply to get the desired result. Similarly, a computer language comes with a set of predefined libraries that help us develop more complex and sophisticated programs. That is how I have learnt my stuff so far. Although I might not be proficient in some languages since I have a very good understanding of languages like Java, C, C++ and so on, I can learn the other fairly quickly.

Programming is also about critical thinking and solving the problem in hand. The more you think of a problem in a methodical manner, the easier it is to code. It is also breaking the problem into small goals and obtaining them as you go. That is how the complex abstraction of languages is build nowadays. We have binary numbers that is 1 or 0 that the computer can read. The abstraction of the binary is handled by another abstraction layer machine code. May be C would be another abstraction layer and Higher level languages like Java, python would be another abstraction layer. It will be much easier to learn a subject if we understand these abstractions and build on top of these. I am very enthusiastic about how teaching people how computers 1 and 0 work. How are they created by varying the voltage and the currents. If you ask so many programmers about this, about 40% would not know how it happens.

Further, being from a Electrical and Electronic Engineering background, I have a very good understanding of this abstraction and I am very eager to share my knowledge with my students. I am very fond of java. I would love to teach many advanced concepts like abstraction, polymorphism, inheritance, encapsulation and many more. The collection framework and other enterprise java frameworks like spring, hibernate, struts, GWT and so on.

Very Good at Java

After attempting to get help from 3 other Java Programmers I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my complicated assignment completed because none of them could figure it out, fortunately I found Manoj who understood the whole thing and used Hos tutoring skills and knowledge to help me complete the project. From now on any time I need Java help or any other programming help from any other code he's familiar with I'm contacting Manoj first via Wyzant.

Adam, 1 lesson with Manoj

An excellent tutor.

After running into multiple brick walls in my programming course,Manoj was able to gauge my skill level and provide invaluable feedback that helped me understand Java as first time programmer. He was very helpful and efficient.

Knowledgeable and Patient

Is knowledgeable, patient, he understands that coding - at least for beginners - is not easy. The desire to see me succeed is there, and to ensure that I understand every aspect of my 'hurdles,' so I definitely will be keeping in contact with him through-out the semester.
