Great Japanese Teacher

Kyoko has a nice way to connect with my son, and keep my son interested and engaged. She is friendly and flexible. She is obviously a master of the subject.

Hui, 11 lessons with Kyoko

Excellent

My first session with Kyoko was both very fun and educational! We were able to cover a fair amount of material in two hours but it did not feel rushed at all, and we did not move on to the next subject until I was comfortable. Kyoko is a very kind and knowledgeable educator, and I am very happy to have her as my tutor!

Innovative, flexible, knowledgeable, and patient

Kyoko has been wonderful with our 9 year old son, who's approach to piano has mostly precluded scales and theory...he hears a great song, then learns to play it! With Kyoko's masterful guidance, he is also now reading music and playing scales and mindful of proper finger placement. And he still plays at will, for fun...we are so grateful for her thoughtful guidance, and caring approach! Best of luck, Kyoko. We'll miss you

Knowledgeable and kind tutor.

Kyoko met four times with a small group in our office. She made it clear what was expected of us to reach our goals, and we enjoyed our classes very much. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and finally understanding how much time we would have to dedicate to studying, our group decided to discontinue lessons. This is no reflection at all on Kyoko. If we had more time we would definitely have continued our classes with her.

Knowledgable and Patient Tutor

Kyoko is a very knowledgable and patient tutor. Our first lesson was very thorough and covered the Japanese writing system of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. We learned the pronunciation of Hiragana and Katakana and how to say "hello", "goodbye", "good morning", and "goodnight". We look forward to more lessons with Kyoko!

First lesson, couldn't be happier

I had my first lesson with Kyoko recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. She has her plate full with me, I must say. I not only want speaking and listening practice, but also help with grammar and vocab in order to meet my goal of passing the N1 level of the JLPT in December. I'm confident I'll get there with her help. We had a very interesting conversation and I am looking forward to studying with her more.

Patient, kind and effective tutor for my 7th grader

Kyoko has been tutoring my son for a few months. He loves Japanese but was falling behind because he missed a lot of classes. He was beginning to loose enthusiasm for a subject that is really difficult even for a student who is able to attend classes regularly. Kyoko helped him bring his grade up from a D to a B with kindness and patience. He feels much better now and will certainly continue his lessons with Kyoko throughout middle school.

Kyoko makes learning Japanese interesting and practical

Kyoko helps me to learn conversation and other Important components of the language. This helps me to be prepared for future travel plans. She also is an excellent art teacher, I have learned so much.
