Hola! My name is Andrés, I am a native Spanish speaker from South America. I would be glad to help you practicing and improving your Spanish or learning the language from scratch. My sessions are fun and will always make you feel you have learned something new.
I have a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing, and I am currently an Interpretation and Education volunteer at a well-known Seattle organization.
If you already have a base of Spanish, I can help you with:
• Enhancing your Spanish communication skills, helping you become more fluent and confident talking.
• Preparing for a business or pleasure trip.
• Practicing what you are currently learning in your college/university classes with a native speaker.
• Bringing back the Spanish you know that you have not practiced in a long time.
• Learning more about the culture of some Spanish speaking countries.
If you are new to Spanish, I can introduce you to the language so you can learn it in a fun and dynamic way.
I have several hours of formal experience tutoring Spanish. I do not have a tutoring certification yet.
If you are interested or have questions, please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for seeing my ad and have a nice day!

My experience with Andres has been very positive. I use Rosetta Stone as well and was looking for someone to help me through the difficult parts. Basically the speech and talking to one another. He has great materials and took me through the basics at my pace while also noting areas where I was having difficulties. We hit those items repeatedly and made sure to cover them the next lesson.
He pushes me to do better while at the same time realizing when I am getting frustrated and then backs off and helps me where I am having problems. I have only been learning Spanish for four weeks now and I feel more confident than I thought I would at this point. Can't order food yet or wander about and identify a lot of things. But in three weeks he has taught me numbers and how to do sums in Spanish as well as covering a whole lot of basics.
He allows for exploratory learning and doesn't mind if we get off the planned track - which i find very positive in an instructor. Being a native Spanish speaker , it was fun to go through and figure things out while at the same time understanding the differences in ways of speech in different areas.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Andres to anyone who is beginning to learn Spanish - and soon I will probably be able to say the same for those that are beyond beginner. If you pick him up - you better not take my preferred time-slot :)
Andres is a great tutor. He always has a lot of different activities ready for our sessions, so I can practice Spanish in every possible way. I would highly recommend him.
Andres is a great Spanish tutor! He was very nice, helpful, and good at explaining things. He was quick to respond to emails and was happy to work around my busy schedule. I had a great experience and highly recommend him!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
