About Linda

I am a UW graduate, majored in Economics and minored in Chinese-Mandarin. I find math and statistics fun and easy to learn. I took a stat class and received a 3.9 for my grade. As for math, I enrolled in AP Calculus in my junior year of high school and received a 4 on the AP exam. The max is 5. I have tutored many students through the WyzAnt Inc for over two years now, and many have greatly improved. Contact me if you wish to learn math or statistics the fun way! Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT English

Do not be fooled just because I am Asian! I was actually born here, went to school in America for all my school years, and took AP and Honor classes.

ACT Math

I have always been advanced in math for most of my life, and I grew up loving it. When I was in preschool, I was already learning addition and subtraction. By second grade, I knew my multiplication table. By the time I got to middle school, I was placed in two levels of math above my grade. I got a 4 (with max of 5) on my AP Calculus exam.

Best of all, algebra is my favorite subject of math.

Differential Equations

I learned differential equations when I was in junior year of high school. I scored a 4 on its AP Calculus Exam.

Elementary (K-6th)

In elementary, my reading level was above and I excelled in many subjects. I have always been more advanced in math than the current grade I was in. In Preschool, I already learned addition and subtraction. By 2nd grade, I knew my multiplication and division table. By 3rd grade, I was learning fractions. All taught by my mom. Then when it was time for me to take the placement test to enter 7th grade, I was placed into 9th grade math.

Statistics

I have taken two statistics class at the University of Washington. One was learning the basics and the other involved more calculations (quantitative statistics). My quantitative stats was an online class, in which I had to learn the materials myself, but take the exams in a classroom setting. I scored over 100% on two of the exams and 92% on another.

Unreliable Tutor

I did gave Linda a good review on the first tutoring day for my daughter. Requested the second lesson and she accepted. E-mail me back the day before the lesson date she can't make it because work. Ask her if she can make it the following day but no response. E-mail her back if she is available on Saturday but she said it's her Dad's b-day. She ask if Sunday is okay. I e-mail back that Sunday at 5
