About Adam

Experience:

For the past 6 years I've been working with University of Washington students on computer science and math courses.

From 2002-2004 I took variety of IT, Visual Basic and Web language courses while completing my AA at Pierce College in Tacoma

2004-2009, I tutored math and java while completing my bachelor from University of Washington

2014, I completed a .net/C# degree from University of Washington Seattle

I've also done graduate work at Columbia South in Programming and IT

I only work part time as a coder due to an injury and tutor whenever possible. Sometimes I'm unable to take tutoring jobs due to these limitations.

I've worked with students who hate school, students with learning disabilities and students of all ages with no problems.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Java

I tutor java and very familiar with Washington universities and what is expected in Java classes. I'm able to break down the concepts so you can read through chapters quicker and concentrate on coding. Tutoring includes the Eclipse tutorial.

Web Design

I think the best method for newer students is to learn HTML, CSS and other script languages. This way you do not have to rely on applications such as DreamWeaver, FrontPage etc. some people have an easier time learning these applications; however, it still is more beneficial to spend the time and learn basic coding. The other advantage is that your website will be unique since it is designed from scratch, vs. limited ready-made templates, which are used by thousands of websites.

The Best!

I had spent a month working on this problem, and talked to many supposed experts. None could help me. My business was really suffering without my internet programs being able to work together. Adam patiently went through it all with me and figured out a work-around. Thank you! Adam
