I have been drafting since 1979 BC (Before Computers). AutoCAD since 1985, Revit Architecture since 2005 and Microstation since 2004.
Since I have worked in almost every aspect of the building industry from. Drafting - both manual and CAD - Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural and Civil. I have also done marketing, sales, and use graphic arts for presentations, technical illustration for visualization, custom signage and corporate logos. I understand the construction process and understand what is needed for a complete construction set of documents. I can tell what each student will need to accomplish their tasks.
This can and should be a fun learning process. Let me help. I have been drafting since 1979 BC (Before Computers). AutoCAD since 1985, Revit Architecture since 2005 and Microstation since 2004.

Jonathan is a very experienced tutor. He is very patient, friendly, always happy to answer questions and he has an excellent knowledge of Revit. In the first tutorial Jonathan gave me a very useful introduction to the software and i look forward to the next tutorials in order to achieve my goals.
Jonathan is helping me unlock tools of the program I am using so that I can apply the skills to my current projects.
Jonathan S. is a fantastic tutor because he cares about his job and shows a great deal of understanding towards people with disabilities like me. I hope to keep him as my tutor for a long time. His teaching skills are better than most, if not all, of my professors at college and his fee is among the lowest on WyzAnt. This means you get the most benefit for the the least amount of money. Because of my tutor's excellent teaching skills, my sister is now seriously considering him as a tutor as well. Thanks for everything. Your appreciative student, Timothy.
Jonathan is quick to respond. I immediately could see his high level of Revit knowledge and architectural/construction experience would be beneficial. He provided some insight and tips to keep me going before our 1st lesson. In just an hour for our first lesson, we discussed our approach and lesson format per my level and my needs and specific goals. John provided additional tips and methods in working with Revit. I side tracked John with other questions regarding how Revit is being used in the industry, pitfalls and advantages, also in cad management use.
I am still a beginner with AutoCAD. Jonathan was very helpful not only in regards to the Title block but also pointing out how other things work. Overall I was very impressed with his AutoCAD knowledge.
AutoCAD is one of the two leading software programs that specialize in drafting. (the other is MicroStation - which I also run)
I have been using AutoCAD since 1985, and since it was released in 1982 I got in really early in the development of CAD software. I have used every version since. I have used ACAD in almost every building industry. From Structural and Civil to Interior finishing and Precast Concrete.
In the last 10 to 15 years I have worked my way into CAD managing. Not necessarily because I like to manage people, but because I tend to want to know the "Why's" and "How's" of how the program works. Because of this I tend to be the "one with the answers" I have also been told that I can explain any problem in a way that anyone can understand. If I do not know the answer right off the top, I understand where to look for the right answer.
I have used Revit since 2005. I have worked with Architecture Structural and MEP. I have worked in large projects with multiple worksets and smaller projects with only one or two workers in the model at one time.
I have taught for an international Revit reseller in both the Seattle and Portland areas. From teaching individuals who are just coming into the market to older individuals who need to learn Revit after years of using CAD.
