I'm a digital content creator, marketer, and educator. I possess expert knowledge of these fields by practicing them every day and teaching them at nearby schools. I love creating photography and video content or cooking up campaigns and communications for businesses of all sizes. I relish teaching others how to finesse these skills to progress their business or personal growth.

I have a master’s degree from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I've been teaching adults since 2009 and teenagers since 2014.

I will help you meet your creative goals from the safety of your home by virtually teaching you to photograph, design a logo, build a website, or gain PR for yourself. Do you need camera help or software assistance? Are you looking to gain copy skills or learn how to build a customer journey?

Let's get started!

I first entered the digital content and marketing world in 2008 and have had clients from large venture capitalists to fast food chains. I was professionally photographing for marketing departments when I realized many of them needed help on implementing the images I was creating for them. I learned more and more about producing content for various audiences and orchestrating the content through various channels with each client. There is true art in creating copy, graphics, photos, and videos to tell your story. I have over a decade of lessons learned to share with you during our sessions.

I'm available via email with my current students in between lessons. I don't want you to get caught up on one simple task and not move forward. I recommend 1.5-hour sessions; they are the perfect amount of time to fully understand the lesson and have time for practice and questions, but they are not too much time to overwhelm the brain.

Let's get creative!

Adobe Illustrator,

Adobe Illustrator

I use Illustrator for designing logos, infographics, creating social content, and laying out support graphics for e-newsletters. I find it to be the easiest of the Adobe programs to navigate and learn. If you're looking for a program that can accomplish most of your digital marketing design needs, let's get started with Illustrator.
Adobe Lightroom,

Adobe Lightroom

I've been using LR since its launch. It is like no other software out there; understanding it in full will benefit you greatly. That's where I come in! Professionals use LR; it's an important part of our workflow. We stay organized with our thousands of images in Library, but we play and edit in Develop. There are many steps before importing and after exporting that you need to consider before using LR; I'll go through them all.
Adobe Photoshop,

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is my go to for portrait retouching, compositing, graphic design, & video editing. While I use Lightroom for the organizing and global adjustments of my work, Photoshop is used quite often for more in depth editing. PS is particularly great for compositing with multiple layers, adding text, or integrating graphics. The one non-photo related skill I use PS for is the video editing timeline area. It's wonderful to use and blend video with all your other techniques in Photoshop that make creating digital art so versatile. I have a Master's in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, New York and a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Photography.
Photography

Photography

Consider me your mini photo school/studio and your private guide to everything photography related; from cameras to software, new exhibits and culture, and even printing or putting together a portfolio. All levels, and all cameras, welcome. I learned photography in 2001 in a black and white lab, picking up color photography in 2004. I went digital in 2008 when the cameras became so fantastic it was silly to refuse the update. My two largest clients were shooting a food photography ad for Pizza Hut and for a visit from HUD secretary, Julian Castro, to a newly finished housing project. Normally I work with small businesses that need web content; product photography, headshots, interior images, and event photography.

Marketing

I have a practical digital marketing background. Day to day I orchestrate campaigns for a tech company; SEO, PR, branding, webinars, website creation, analytics, and social. I produced content for businesses in the Dallas Fort Worth area from 2009-2012. Once I realized they needed more help with how to implement the content, rather than obtain the content itself, I began managing their digital strategies, branding, and PR. By 2018 I had expanded my marketing services to Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington.

Great Tutor for Photoshop

I was skeptical about having PS sessions on-line, However i'm over that now - thanks to Lindsey. First & foremost, she is extremely professional. Her working knowledge of PS is fantastic. I've already set up a 2nd session.

Thoughtful and flexible puzzle solver

Lindsey gets the big picture and approaches issues systemically- not as a bunch of unrelated pieces. She listens well and and is articulate and direct.

Got me where I needed to go ...

I knew the LR basic tools from a LR intro class but knowing what the tools are and then how to use them are two different things. Add highlights or white? Lighten the shadow or take back the black? There's a difference and I needed to know when to use what and how to easily compare my images in each step of the processing. Lindsey got me where I needed to go.

Great pedagogical skills and infinite patience

Lindsey is an excellent teacher who knows how to decompose the whole into manageable elements. The opaque camera becomes transparent, as if seen though x-rays. After our first session, I felt better armed to understand what was going on in that box and how to use it. Having the student practice each newly learned component, over and over again will facilitate rehearsing it at home. I also appreciate how Lindsey speaks slowly, articulates clearly, and helps the student linguistically walking her through the arcane imagery of photo technique. Her charts were very helpful, as well as her drawings on the white board. After taking pictures of a subject, she showed me the differences depending on how much light we allowed into the camera. Eye-opening! She was also very forward about showing me her portfolio and how she gets to take the best pictures of people through getting to know them and their unique personalities.

Picture perfect

Lindsey possesses the right combination of patience, communication skills, and industry knowledge, coupled with an easygoing demeanor, which make her an excellent tutor. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

My sessions with Lindsey are always great. She's so patient.

I enjoyed our session while learning: Masking, transforming, removing red eye, using paintbrush and making black and white adjustments. All basic stuff but very useful.

Wonderful Tutor!

Lindsey tutored me for a number of weeks. She is one of the most talented, knowledgeable people I've ever met. She will not only guide you through the material but also provide tips that will help you get through faster and smarter. I highly recommend Lindsey M.

Excellent Instructor

I absolutely love Lindsey's teaching style, her ability to deliver information in a way that I can comprehend it. I've taken many classes in the past that were over technical teaching me things I probably wasn't going to use to begin with. Lindsey's personal experience with photography, and her extensive educational experience makes learning from her a true joy, and very comfortable. Very very grateful I was able to find her.

Great teacher, very patient.

Lindsey quickly returns emails. Very flexible with schedules. Very patient with questions and encouraging. She is honest with time and arrives early or prompt to meetings. She is a great teacher and tutor. I recommend her to anyone who would like to know more about photography but doesn't have time for schedule classes or needs flexible scheduling due to work/life. She is willing to go on excursions to camera stores to buy equipment or practice shooting pictures and even come to the house to set up editing program. Cannot ask for a better person that is willing to do everything possible to see you succeed in your photography journey.
